Privacy Policy

Serein TV Remote & Control · Amenti Labs LLC · Effective October 1, 2026

This policy describes Serein and its support website. No Serein account or manufacturer sign-in is required to use local TV controls. Installation identifiers and diagnostic data may still be collected as described below.

TV control and stored credentials

TV commands and discovery communicate over your local network. Pairing credentials are stored in the system Keychain and shared only with this app's authorized extensions. Saved device information, preferences and layouts are stored on your device and in this app's shared container. Remote-control commands do not use our servers as a relay. A TV or streaming service may separately process what you do on that device under its own policy.

Photos, video and casting

When you choose media to cast, the app makes that selected media available to the chosen compatible receiver over the local network. It is not uploaded to Amenti Labs as part of that cast. Receiver platforms and the Google Cast SDK may process device/network and diagnostic information under their own policies. Serein does not infer casting compatibility from remote pairing.

Microphone and voice

Microphone access is used only for voice features you initiate. Where Serein uses Apple's on-device speech recognition, audio is transcribed on the phone. A supported TV-native voice route may transmit microphone audio to the selected TV, whose voice service may process it under that provider's policy. Amenti Labs does not receive voice recordings as analytics or store them on its servers.

Analytics and diagnostics

Serein uses Mixpanel for product analytics and diagnostics, and Superwall for paywall operation and subscription measurement. These services may process an installation/user identifier, device and operating-system information, app version, usage events, connection error categories, paywall interactions, subscription state and purchase events. The identifier can link these events for the same installation. Service requests may include an IP address and derive approximate location; this is not GPS permission or precise-location collection. We use this data for app operation, troubleshooting and understanding which features work. We do not describe these linked records as fully anonymous. No manufacturer account credentials or TV pairing secrets are intentionally sent in these events.

Feedback and support

If you submit written feedback inside the app, the message (up to 1,000 characters in analytics) and associated app version/installation information are sent to Mixpanel so we can read and address it. Your local history may retain the full message. Do not include passwords, pairing tokens or sensitive information in feedback. If you email support, we receive your email address, message and attachments and use them to respond.

Subscriptions

Apple processes payments. We do not receive your card number. StoreKit and Superwall process purchase history, product and transaction identifiers, trial/renewal status and entitlement information to provide and restore Serein Pro. Subscriptions in our other apps do not grant this app's Pro entitlement. Apple's handling is described in its own privacy policy.

Choices, retention and deletion

Use any analytics/privacy controls presented in Settings to manage optional collection. Required purchase processing may continue so subscriptions work. We retain service records for app operation, troubleshooting and subscription accounting, and remove them when no longer needed or following a valid deletion request, subject to necessary legal or transaction records. Removing the app removes its normal local container but does not necessarily erase Keychain entries, third-party service records or an Apple subscription. Contact contact@amentilabs.com for access or deletion assistance. Include an app support/installation identifier if available; we may need it to locate a pseudonymous record. We do not ask for TV tokens or payment-card details.

Sharing and providers

We use service providers to operate the app, including Mixpanel, Superwall, Apple and receiver-platform SDK providers. They may process data in other countries. We do not sell personal data or use it to follow you across other companies' apps and websites for targeted advertising. Any future advertising-attribution integration must be reflected in the app's controls and this policy before activation.

Website

This static website is hosted by Cloudflare. Hosting requests can generate network/security logs, including IP address and request metadata, under Cloudflare's policy. These pages have no advertising pixels or website analytics scripts.

Children and changes

Serein is a general-purpose remote utility, not directed at children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child submitted personal information. Policy updates are posted here with a revised effective date.
